What Are Perceptions?
Learning what you can control and not control makes a big difference in your life. Perceptions (how you see events, others and yourself ) generate all of your thoughts, feelings and actions. We have a tendency to confuse how we see things, our perceptions, with how things really are.
Why do some athletes feel that a last second shot in a basketball game is so exciting when others feel it is scary?
Why do business executives feel terrified by a deadline when other executives thrive and excel?
These patterns are all based on your perceptions. Using The O'Meara Process, your leaders will uncover what perceptions are in place at the moment. Together with the employee they will determine if these perceptions are working or not.
Do your perceptions bring you closer to your aspirations?
Do your perceptions move you away from what you want to do better?
By altering the employee's perceptions where necessary, The O'Meara Process allows them to create a choice for their future. It will then be easy to take responsibility for their perceptions, because they will learn that it is entirely their choice.
Next we will look at the Power of Perceptions in Business, you will be amazed at the variety of perceptions that are in action everyday within your own company. Everyone "sees" the same situation slightly differently.
